Once you’ve got the access code for self check-in at any time you want, without the hassle a reception, follow the line of the long yard. It’s like a hall under the open sky. If you are a smoker, the yard is yours for that famous moment of silence, away from strangers’ eyes! By the way, this is a nice place to spend the hot summer evenings in the company of family or friends.

Step in the family nest. On the right, there’s a 100% fully equipped kitchen, that will make you feel at home. On the left, there’s the living room, a well-lighted space with glassy transparency that comforts your senses. Here you have a dining area, and if you have the desire to browse the internet, try the chic desk in an intimate corner of the room.

2 bedrooms with separate entrances are waiting for you to rest your thoughts after a day of walking through the town. White is predominant, so it is impossible not to dream like a knight of Hermanstadt Transylvania after the most beautiful scroll… One of the bedrooms has a double bed and the second two single beds. A modular option suitable either for your children or for a second couple or maybe for the two friends that accompany you.

The place

Take with you only the necessary stuff! You find here everything you need. From immaculate linen, to clean towels, hairdryer, and iron. Even a washing machine if your stay is longer.

If you want to feel like 100% a tourist in Sibiu and do not want to spoil your kitchen like a true chef, choose one of the locations in the area: a cafeteria where you can have breakfast and coffee or a snack bar, with a terrace. All within a walking distance.

Location

Ioana’s Family Guesthouse is 6 km from Sibiu Airport, 5 km from the Astra Outdoor Museum and 2 boulevards away from Hermannstadt’s historic center. You can get there by direct bus. And to get to the old center you can choose a walk on the interwar streets to admire the spectacular architecture. Let yourself be caught in the spring and summer by the lilac and magnolia smell …

If you follow the peaceful streets instead of Milea Boulevard, the first interaction with the old town is a charming area in Hermannstadt Transylvania: Thalia Hall, the first theater in Sibiu built in the Venetian style. Do not miss it, throw an eye in, or have a glance from outside into the rehearsal room full of brass instruments. Something special! Then climb the stairs to ” the most beautiful street in Sibiu”, a re-discovery of our time: Cetatii Street. The Big Square is a minute away, guarded by the Brukenthal Museum and terraces, flowing gently into the Small Square where the famous Lier’s Bridge is, as well as more eccentric bars.

Don’t worry! The area where Ioana’s Family Guesthouse is is richly vascularized by the main lines: bus stops, taxi stations. Paradoxically, Ioana’s Family Guesthouse is somehow caught in a bubble of silence once you cross the threshold of its courtyard.

Parking

If you drive to Hermannstadt (Sibiu), you have free parking right in front of the building, or nearby. Like one of us!

Total independence … it’s our motto! On the day of your arrival, you will receive the access code to the courtyard of the guesthouse, plus other necessary information. It’s that simple!
